lyrics

Is there a better way to exist? To recreate the brokenness? To stay the path of resistance rather than chasing after the wind? I'm convinced that we're all dying and all we're dying of is ignorance. If it makes you feel good than maybe those feelings of regret are signals warning us not to trust our feelings. I'm talking feelings to make you feel uncomfortable like talking about the word "moist" or "moisture" and O how we know moisture in the Florida air. Those afternoon showers are sure to come. But don't fright of fret if they're not here yet because there's still time to plan for it. Here take my umbrella and you can stand under it even when you don't understand. No offense but is this offensive? We all call on ghosts to haunt us the times we would seek to flee from them most (in our right mind). But is our mind right? These vices and visceral notions only cripple the conscience and test our devotion. And if these tainted hands feel for some comfort in a dark room but only grasp at self-destructive instruments, you can call me the Maestro and I'll wave the baton for my misery because all those around me seem to be playing that same song. Why do I lead this dirge? Why do I dance on my casket? I won't be at my funeral! And I won't be late to heaven! (even though I’m always late) This I am certain. The ability to relate and commune is the greatest bond among lovers and among strangers. Our response warrants the same humanity. The nature of genuine integrity shares the value and standard to be desired and to be longed for by every honest soul. But are we afraid of what the truth may prove or expose? It's hard to tell. To stand the test of time refines one to know patience, not just the attribute but the long suffering we find in waiting... Is there an answer to these questions or does it just depend on the one questioning? Is there a partial prejudice to life that deserves it? These days I'm finding it difficult to distinguish between what is wrong and right. 'Those who live by it will die by it'. But we all will die nonetheless. Is there a spark? A lantern alongside the path to light my darkest mid-night. Nearly done yet halfway over. A drunken mind yet halfway sober. These looming mares follow me by day, though whispers soft beg me to stay and wait and watch upward, survey the clouds, the sky. Her galaxy before and behind. The door cracked ajar a symphony as voices raise so gracefully beneath the chaos and the sound, a thundering roar as one abounds. As One, yes One there in it all and all therein simply exists by the mere breath of existence. The infinite divinity of everlasting, the source of creativity, the awesome and awe inspiring, the answer to the questioning, the way and death of dying.
